Prezadovoljan pobedom

Bojao sam se da će da proradi Wilsonova ofanzivna magija iz prvog dela sezone ali je naša odbrana bila vrhunska večeras. Mislio sam da će pasti moral posle povrede Donalda ali nije i posebno sam zadovoljan načinom na koji je završena utakmica...

worry1...zabrinjava koliko je McVay konzervativan i neinventivan u short situacijama, sad mu je palo na pamet da Goff ide na QB sneak koji je i inače nesposoban za taj zadatak

worry2...strepnja šta je Donaldom i Cuppom, treba nam full roster protiv Packersa...

Lions hired former Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes as general manager.
Detroit had also interviewed Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds before moving forward with the first (and primary) candidate on its list. The Rams will also become the first team to receive two third-round compensatory draft picks for Bradley as part of the NFL's new hiring initiatives. The two sides are reportedly finalizing a five-year deal after Holmes had been in his former position in Los Angeles for eight seasons. Holmes was also a finalist for Atlanta's GM role, setting the stage for Saints assistant GM Terry Fontenot to land there once New Orleans' postseason run comes to an end.

Ništa novo za njega. Očekivati od njega da igra 6 meseci na vrhunskom nivou je ludost, a to i jeste karakteristika našeg GMa. U drugim vestima:

Speaking Tuesday, Rams GM Les Snead declined to endorse Jared Goff as the team's 2021 starter.
ESPN's Lindsey Thiry reports Snead "declined to provide a yes/no answer" on Goff's future before "referencing Aaron Rodgers' recent quote about the future being a beautiful mystery." He then said "anything can be done" while nevertheless acknowledging it would be difficult to move on from Goff's albatross contract. Snead joins coach Sean McVay in going out of his way not to endorse his starting quarterback. The Rams have realized what everyone else has, that their offense is hard capped under the No. 1 overall pick of the 2016 draft. The problem is the salary cap, which would be left in smoldering ruins by any potential Goff move. Unless some other team is willing to pay Goff $25.6 million in 2021, there is probably no way the Rams can get out from underneath his deal this offseason, but perhaps they will add legitimate competition and roll with the highest-paid backup in the history of professional sports. We have a long way to go in this journey.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport's "understanding" is the Rams are "expected to have an open competition" at quarterback in training camp next summer, featuring Jared Goff and John Wolford.
RapSheet said that's "if" Goff remains on the roster, which is highly likely considering his contract. Wolford started two games for the Rams at the end of the season, "managing" L.A. to a win in Week 17 against the Cardinals, where he went 22-of-38 for 231 scoreless yards and an interception while leading the team in rushing with a 6-56 line. But he was hurt in the Wild Card start against Seattle, and Goff reclaimed the gig. It's clear the Rams aren't satisfied with Goff at all and are now realizing he's holding the team back. But Wolford isn't the answer. The Rams need to start taking their No. 2 QB spot seriously.

Kakva šteta, kad su DeŠon pa i Staford na prodaju, kada ove i prošle sezone dosta talenata izašlo na draft, mi smo osuđeni na ovog nesrećnika

Ovako, Goff nije vrhunski QB, niti ce da bude. Ali je bilo i gorih QB od njega koji su osvajali SB. Problem ove godine je to sto nje bilo ni jednog WR koji moze da igra vertikalno. To je bio plan prethodnih godina, i to je radilo. Imao si uvek nekog brzog koji moze da ide 30+ yd. onda si imao RB (ko god da je bio), pa onda Kupp i ekipu koja je kupila ove kratke pasove. razvuce sve to teren lepo. i na kraju cak i ako uspe da se pokrije sve to, onda je ostalo mesta sa Higbee-a da uzima brdo yardi. Kad imas takvu "sirinu", moze da se dogura daleko. Goff, koliko krs da je bio, ipak ima preko 100 rating u PO ove godine. Ne znam zasto su se otarasili Cooks-a. On je bio ekstra, i sa njim bi bili koje mesto vise na kraju regularne sezone, ne bi morali da idemo u GB, i verovatno bi igrali finale konferencije.

Ja ne tvrdim da vredi pare koje su mu date, ali Goff nije los QB. Nije ni elita... ali je u gornjoj polovini - sve dok igra u McVay sistemu. I zbog ugovora se nece mrdati. ostaje kod nas u 2021 sigurno a mozda i u 2022.

For what it's worth, the Rams' earliest pick in the 2021 draft is No. 57 overall. It's unclear what would happen with Jared Goff's lucrative (and nightmarish) contract on the books for the next four years, but Stafford himself even reportedly considers Los Angeles a legitimate contender for his services. With former Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes now making decisions as Detroit's GM, you don't have to squint to see the two sides coming to some type of agreement for the 32-year-old immediately following the Super Bowl. The Lions are still ideally looking to trade Stafford before March 21 since his roster bonus would then cost the front office another $10 million on the books for 2021.

Watt has no guarantees left on the six year, $100 million extension he signed in 2014. He's under contract through next season, but Houston can clear $17.5 million in cap space from releasing or trading Watt. With the Texans overhauling their front office and coaching staff, it wouldn't be surprising if they parted ways with Watt, who expressed frustration with the organization and was the driving force behind Bill O'Brien's firing. 32-year-old Watt would have no shortage of interested teams if the Texans make him available.
