Opa, opa, neka, neka...šta rade ovi ljudi
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports the Rams and Jonah Jackson have agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract. Jackson was expected to fetch a big number on the open market, and will get $34 million in guaranteed money on this new deal. He will likely play opposite guard Kevin Dotson, who recently re-signed with the team for three years and $48 million. Jackson was limited by ankle and knee injuries last season, appearing in only 12 games, but
when healthy, Jackson is among the top guards in the league. Jackson allowed two sacks on 24 pressures last season and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2021.
Rams agreed to terms with TE Colby Parkinson, formerly of the Seahawks, on a three-year, $22.5 million contract. Ok then. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal includes a whopping $15.5 million guaranteed. “Whopping” because Parkinson is 25 years old with 57 catches in four years. He has earned solid pass-blocking grades. Less so in the run game. Coach Sean McVay nevertheless sees projectability in a pass catcher who managed 25 grabs each of the past two years in a crowded Seahawks skill corps and tight end group. This will be a situation where we need to closely monitor the coach comments this summer.
