Enough: Browns fire 3-36-1 Hue Jackson
Browns fired coach Hue Jackson.
It is about time. The organization spent the offseason lying about the level of talent on the roster, but the reality is Jackson's Browns greatly underachieved by producing just one win in his first two seasons, and they have managed just two wins this year despite a league-leading plus-11 turnover differential. The issue for Cleveland is their on-staff options to replace Jackson are DC Gregg Williams, who went 17-31 in three seasons with the Bills and has been a major factor in their struggles, and OC Todd Haley, who went 19-26 in three seasons with the Chiefs and has been on the hot seat himself this season. A full coaching staff rebuild should be the first order of business come January.
