Rams WRs coach Ray Sherman sees a "lot of similarities" between No. 33 pick WR Brian Quick and Terrell Owens.
"The way the kid goes and gets the ball, the physicality, the desire ... he has a chance to be special, no doubt." Quick has T.O.-like size at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, and is also an excellent blocker. He has a strong chance of immediately stepping in as a starter in the Rams' mess of a receiver corps.

WR Chris Givens is an early entry junior out of Wake Forest, where he was a first-team All-ACC selection this past year. He has adequate size and is a blazing straight-line runner who looks similar to Philadelphia's Jeremy Maclin with his movements in-route. He relies heavily on his speed in everything he does. He's capable of taking a speed-out and cutting upfield to daylight. He is a polished player who could be selected late in the first round; he has all the traits of a productive NFL receiver and an immediate No. 2 option.

St. Louis was thought to be considering Givens as early as the second round, so it looks like they stuck to their board and took the best player available. "He should have probably gone earlier," confirmed ESPN's Bill Polian. Givens goes 5-foot-11, 198 and ran a 4.39 at the Scouting Combine. The 2011 first-team All-ACC pick can create separation on vertical routes, and that has been a missing trait in St. Louis' receiver corps for several years.

Rams selected South Carolina G Rokevious Watkins with the No. 150 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
Watkins checks in at a massive 6'4/338 and started 27 consecutive games over the last two seasons. Balance and technique are major issues, but you can't teach this kind of size. Watkins is a project the Rams' staff will be charged with molding.

Sammy Brown, LB from Univ Houston 6-3, 240
Matt Daniels, S Duke, 6-1. 210 i
Alex Hoffman-Ellis, LB Washington State, 6-1. 226

U krajnjem slucaju odlican depth. Bas cu da ga pratim.
Sammy Brown, LB from Univ Houston 6-3, 240
Quote
Sammy Brown has 159 tackles, 50 TFLs, 21 sacks and 2 FFs over the last 2 years as a starting OLB on Houston...before that he was at a JUCO. In 2011 alone, he had 93 tackles, 30 TFLs and 13.5 sacks. He got better each year in college.

Jacksonville State RB Calvin Middleton

Jeremy Caldwell, CB, Eastern Kentucky, 5-9, 185

Matt Daniels, S Duke, 6-1. 210
Ubica, jako mi se dojmi.

Alex Hoffman-Ellis, LB Washington State, 6-1. 226 (highest rated undrafted LB)

Noah Keller, LB Ohio, 6-1, 245

Potpisali smo i ovoga  :D

Johnny Hekker

Do sada
Matt Daniels, S, Duke
Jeremy Caldwell, CB, EKU
Cory Harkey, TE, UCLA
Matt Conrath, DT, Virginia
Alex Hoffman-Ellis, OLB, Washington State

Sammy Brown, LB from Univ Houston 6-3, 240
Alex Hoffman-Ellis, LB Washington State, 6-1. 226

Uf, gledao sam ovog Pead-a i citao nesto malo o njemu.

Lock!

Svi valjaju mi sampioni  :svi:

Nas najbolji potpis je angazovanje trenera DL Mike Waufle-a.
Prosle dve sezone DL trener u Oklendu, a pre toga u NYG.

Jedino nam nisu provereni ovi OT, ni levi ni desni.

Sledece godine opet dva pika u prvoj rundi.

DE Jamaar Jarrrett of Arizona State 6-5, 262

Quote
According to multiple league sources, there were six players who failed the NFL's drug test at the 2012 Scouting Combine. It had been previously reported by Jason LaCanfora of The NFL Network that Ohio State offensive tackle Mike Adams had tested positive for marijuana. Today, Jay Glazer of Fox, reported that Arizona State middle linebacker Vontaze Burfict and Virginia Tech cornerback Jayron Hosley had also been busted. NFLDraftScout.com has since confirmed these reports and can add that the Arizona State Sun Devils didn't just have one player test positive for a banned substance, but two, as defensive end Jamaar Jarrett also tested positive. The news isn't good for the 6-5, 265 pound Jarrett, who as NFL Draft Scout.com's No. 34 rated defensive end and No. 439th rated prospect overall, was hardly viewed as a sure-fire draftable prospect in the first place. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

Potpisali smo jos jednog visokog DE
Scott Smith, DE, Texas Tech 6-7 (201cm), 262

Quote
A tall, lean defensive end prospect with an athletic build and the frame to add even more strength/size without losing any athleticism. Is a former JUCO kid who played in only four games in 2010 after being suspended for violating team rules. However, plays with a passion. Is a high motor kid who can bend, sit into his stance well when asked to play the run game and generate a good snap on contact. Is still learning how to use his hands consistently, but produces a good jolt on contact, runs his legs and initially can anchor on contact. However, allows his pad level to rise a bit through the play, taking away from his ability to anchor and shed through contact. Nevertheless, works hard in pursuit. Doesn't have great closing speed, more of a strider but uses his length to wrap up well off his frame. Showcases the skill set and size to mature into a good run defender, just needs more development.

At times gets his base a little high when rushing the passer, but plays with his ball side hand down, gets off the snap quickly and for his size has a "plus" first step. Possesses the initial burst to threaten the edge and does a good job turning his speed into power when working the bull. Keeps his pad level down off the snap, but gets upright into contact and isn't real sudden laterally when trying to slip. Looks a bit tight hipped around the corner as he gets upright and can be pushed past the pocket. However, demonstrates natural power/balance into contact, just is inconsistent with his hands and pad level.

Needs to continue to improve his pass rush arsenal, but again doesn't have a ton of experience.

Impression: For his size he has an impressive get off burst and can fire off the ball low. Might need to do some growing up, but if he puts it together could be poised for a big jump up draft boards.

Rams Stock Up On Rookies

Rams general manager Les Snead says that in any given year, about 16 percent of the starting players in the NFL entered the league as undrafted rookies.

If Snead's math holds up, and the Rams' scouting department did its homework, three to four players from this year's crop of rookie free agents will end up starting in the league. Although the Rams have yet to release their list, 23 undrafted rookies have either signed or agreed to terms with the team so far. A few more are expected to be added to the list before the team's rookie minicamp next week.

That's more undrafted rookies than the Rams usually sign, but only because the NFL decided to increase the offseason/training camp roster size to 90 players — or 10 more than usual — shortly before the draft. Even so, the Rams have signed so many undrafted rookies that they've had to release some veterans to stay within the 90-man limit.

Five players were released Monday: tight end Demarco Cosby, defensive tackle John Henderson, cornerback Nate Ness, running back Quinn Porter and cornerback Chris Smith.

• Cosby, from Central Missouri State, spent two weeks on the Rams' practice squad last year.
• Henderson spent the entire 2011 season on the practice squad.
• After an earlier stint on the practice squad, Ness appeared in four late-season games but registered no stats.
• Porter shared kickoff return duties with Jerious Norwood last season, averaging 22.2 yards on 25 returns, with a long of 32 yards.
• After an earlier stint on the practice squad, Smith appeared in three late-season games, registering one tackle from scrimmage and two special teams tackles.

Coach Jeff Fisher is a firm believer in mining talent from the ranks of the undrafted. "It's a very, very important process," he said.

There are several potential nuggets among the rookie free agents already headed to St. Louis. (The Rams are expected to release the official list today.)

For example, the Rams had a draftable grade on Duke safety Matt Daniels, who was team MVP in 2011 and the first Blue Devils safety to earn All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-team honors since 1995. He's 6-0, 212, and ran the 40 in 4.49 seconds at Duke's pro day. He had 126 tackles, two interceptions and 14 pass breakups last season, and has a reputation as a physical tackler.

Perhaps the most surprising draft development at Louisiana State was that tight end DeAngelo Peterson did not get drafted. But he will be thrown into the tight end mix with the Rams. At 6-3, 243, Peterson lacks ideal size and has average speed (4.76) for the position. On a team without a great passing game, he caught 18 passes for 179 yards last season.

The Rams attempted to address their shortage of linebackers by adding undrafted rookies Sammy Brown of Houston, Derrick Choice of Stephen F. Austin, Alex Hoffman-Ellis of Washington State, and Noah Keller of Ohio.

Brown led the nation in tackles for loss (30), while also registering 13½ sacks for Houston. He's 6-2, 242 and ran a 4.63 at his pro day. Hoffman-Ellis was named Washington State's defensive MVP for the 2011 season after recording 88 tackles and two sacks, and returning his only interception for a touchdown.

Among the other free agents joining the Rams, quarterback Austin Davis threw for 3,496 yards and 30 TDs last season and broke many of Brett Favre's career passing records at Southern Mississippi. Running back Nick Schwieger is Dartmouth's career leader in rushing yards (3,150) and all-purpose yards (4,115).

Center and guard T-Bob Hebert of LSU is the son of former New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Bobby Hebert. Long snapper Travis Tripucka of Massachusetts is the son of former Notre Dame basketball star and NBA player Kelly Tripucka. Offensive tackle Joe Long of Wayne State (Mich.) is the younger brother of former NFL No. 1 overall draft pick Jake Long of the Miami Dolphins.

As they continue to sign rookie free agents, Rams have cut 5 veterans to stay under 90-man offseason roster limits. Released Monday were

CB Chris Smith,
RB Quinn Porter,
DT John Henderson,
CB Nate Ness, and
TE Demarco Cosby.

Sto rece jedan lik, ja bih razmislio jos jednom pre nego Hendersonu dam otkaz

Samo sto ovo nije nas Henderson  :dipl:

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Rams have submitted plans to upgrade the Edward Jones Dome, a key step to making sure the team doesn’t leave town.

The team turned in its counterproposal on Tuesday, declining to release details. The plan was given to the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission, the operator of the dome that announced its own plan in February. The CVC said it will begin the review process, but spokeswoman Donna Andrews declined further comment.

The Rams can legally break its 30-year lease after the 2014 season if the dome is not deemed to be among the top tier of NFL stadiums.

The rejected CVC plan included $124 million in improvements, featuring a massive scoreboard measuring 96 feet long, new club seats, windows to add natural light and even a 50,000-square-foot attachment with a “Geek Suite” area for electronic buffs and fantasy football players.

But the CVC plan called for the team to pay 52 percent of the cost, or about $64.5 million Taxpayers in St. Louis city and county would have been asked to pick up the rest of the cost or some $60 million.

Undrafted Free Agent Tracker: Scouting The Rams 23 UDFA Additions

The St. Louis Rams have signed a truckload of undrafted free agent rookies. There are lists here and there, but this is the most complete list you'll find outside of Rams Park. And, so it's more than just a list, I've included some info on the 23 players added so far.

There are some interesting names on this list, and a few players who could stick.

    * Todd Anderson, FB, Michigan State - Listed at 6'2" 267 pounds, Anderson is more of a one-dimensional lead blocker, though his speed might be too slow for that even.
    * Sammy Brown, LB, Houston - Brown has speed, and the Cougars used him as a pass rusher. He might be one of the more intriguing names on this list.
    * Jeremy Caldwell, CB, Eastern Kentucky - He had several workouts from teams during spring. Caldwell won the Buck Buchanan Award as the top defensive player in the FCS last season. He picked off two passes as a senior and finished his college career with 15. Could be an asset in the return game.
    * Derek Choice, OLB, Stephen F. Austin - He was teammates with Jabara Williams, a Rams pick last year in the draft.
    * Matt Conrath, DT, Virginia - If he gained some weight, he might be a serviceable interior lineman. According to this scouting report, he does have a natural instinct for playing the run.
    * Matt Daniels, S, Duke - Daniels was named Duke football's MVP last year. He can run, with a 4.42 40 time. He can play the pass pretty well, and might find a role in sub packages.
    * Austin Davis, QB, Southern Mississippi - Tom Brandstater could be on notice. Yes, that's Brett Favre's college. You may remember him from taking apart Houston last year. He has a decent arm and a good work ethic that could get him the third QB job.
    * Cory Harkey, TE, UCLA - He weighs 270 pounds, and is nothing but a blocker. That could be useful to the Rams as they replace Billy Bajema and find someone to prop up their tackles on the outside.
    * Johnny Hekker, P, Oregon State - He did make this punt against Wisconsin. Whoops. He does have a big leg though and made himself a pretty consistent punter for the Beavers.
    * T-Bob Hebert, C, LSU - Yes, that's his name. The NFP scouts like him as a pass blocker, and note that he has the mentality to stick.
    * Alex Hoffman-Ellis, OLB, Washington State - It was a bit of a surprise that he went undrafted after leading the Cougars in tackles, with 88, last season and running a 4.54 40 at his pro day.
    * Jamaar Jarrett, DE, Arizona State - Like his teammate Vontaze Burfict, Jarrett failed a Combine drug test. He might have been a UDFA anyway. Has the size and power to be a developmental prospect.
    * Nick Johnson, WR, Henderson State - A smaller slot guy, Johnson did run a 4.34 40 time which merits a look.
    * Noah Keller, LB, Ohio - The scouting reports see a linebacker who can defend the run, but doesn't offer much else.
    * Rodney McLeod, S, Virginia - He may be a corner in the NFL, but will have a tough time cracking the Rams depth chart at either position.
    * Calvin Middleton, RB, Jackson State - He is lone back weighing more than 210 pounds that the Rams picked up last week. The Rams met with him prior to the draft, and, according to Middleton, told him that he reminded them of Mike Tolbert.
    * Joe Long, OT, Wayne State - Long was the Division II offensive lineman of the year in 2011. He is Jake Long's brother.
    * DeAngelo Peterson, TE, LSU - Has some skills, but nothing that stands out. This scouting reportnotes his speed.
    * Quinton Porter, S, UNLV - He played corner at UNLV, and missed the 2010 season with a knee injury.
    * Nick Schwieger, RB, Dartmouth - A team captain, he owns school records for rushing and all purpose yards. He could be a special teams contributor.
    * Scott Smith, DE, Texas Tech - He beat up on Mizzou last season. Smith has a nice first step off the line, but is a pretty raw prospect. He was suspended for much of the 2010 season.
    * Travis Tripucka, LS, Massachusetts - He's a long snapper, though he did take the time to explain the finer points of it at his pro day.

Which teams corralled the best undrafted free agents?
By Gil Brandt NFL.com

The moment the NFL draft ends, the race to sign undrafted free agents begins.

The undrafted college free agent has been a big part of the NFL since 1950. Fourteen of these players have gone on to become Hall of Famers and countless others have made significant contributions. Despite the exhaustive scouting done on college prospects leading up to the draft, there are players who slip through the cracks -- the NFL's diamonds in the rough.

The key is identifying players with a specific trait that leads to success at the NFL level. Most of these players lack a complete NFL-ready skill set, but they possess one or two characteristics that prove valuable on Sundays. This is a player like Cliff Harris, who went undrafted out of little-known Ouachita Baptist in 1970, but made six Pro Bowls due to his tremendous speed. Joe Jacoby wasn't great at Louisville, but had a valuable trait for offensive tackles: 35.5-inch arms. Jacoby made four Pro Bowls and won three Super Bowls over a 13-year career. And then there's John Randle, who lacked the size and pure speed of conventional defensive tackles in the NFL, but made up for it with unbelievable quickness and competitiveness. Randle hit double digits in sacks in nine different seasons, made seven Pro Bowls and earned a bust in Canton in 2010.

Through Monday, May 7, there were 459 undrafted free agents signed by NFL teams. The number of signees varies from team to team; this year, Atlanta had the most with 23, while New England had the least with four. Of these players, approximately 50-60 will be on an NFL roster for the first week of the 2012 season. (Fifty-nine made the cut in 2011.)

I have scouted every one of these players. Based on this knowledge, I've provided my top 11 undrafted free-agent hauls by teams this offseason. These rankings are not particularly predicated on the players' college production, but rather on specific traits that lead to production on the NFL level. Every undrafted free agent represents a calculated, low-risk gamble. These are the teams playing their cards best.

1) St. Louis Rams
Key signees: Matt Daniels, S, Duke; Rodney McLeod, DB, Virginia; Scott Smith, DE, Texas Tech; Alex Hoffman-Ellis, LB, Washington State.

I especially like Daniels because of his intelligence and production as a four-year starter at Duke. He displays NFL-caliber speed and reaction skills as a safety. Although Duke isn't much of an NFL factory, Daniels showcased special talent in his collegiate career. McLeod played safety at Virginia, but can transition to corner due to his speed and quickness. Hoffman-Ellis has the unrelenting competitiveness to be a great special teamer in the pros.

2) Atlanta Falcons
Key signees: Louis Nzegwu, DE/OLB, Wisconson; Micanor Regis, DT, Miami; Ray Kibble, DL, Kansas State.

All three of these players have special traits that could lead to success at the NFL level, but the most notable player is Nzegwu. He projects as a pass-rush specialist, due to excellent speed -- as evidenced by his 4.55 40 at the Wisconsin pro day -- and a great first step. He's not an every down player, but has the quickness to get to the passer. His game is somewhat reminiscent of Colts sackmeister Robert Mathis, who was a fifth-round pick out of Alabama A&M back in 2003.

3) Denver Broncos
Key signees: Jamie Blatnick, DE, Oklahoma State; Jerry Franklin, LB, Arkansas; Elliot Coffey, LB, Baylor.

Blatnick can be a very good pass rusher. Surprising he wasn't drafted, because he showed a penchant for disrupting action in the backfield, recording 13.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks as a senior. He's gifted with quickness and overall athleticism and seemed to play his best against the best competition (including nine tackles and two sacks at Texas last October).

4) Cincinnati Bengals
Key signees: Vontaze Burfict, LB, Arizona State; Emmanuel Lamur, DB/LB, Kansas State; Julian Miller, DL, West Virginia.

Burfict let his weight get out of hand and he has a difficult time taking to coaching (as evidenced by his tendency to freelance within a defense, as opposed to just sticking to his assignments). But this is a guy who's worth taking a chance on because he has the competitiveness to be successful at the position. When he's in shape and properly motivated, he's been dominant. Lamur played safety at Kansas State, but I imagine he may be converted to linebacker. He's big, fast (by NFL linebacker standards) and ultra-competitive, with fine ability to make plays in space. He could become a solid contributor on special teams immediately.

5) Miami Dolphins
Key signees: Jacquies Smith, DL, Missouri; Cameron Collins, LB, Oregon State; Shelly Lyons, LB, Arizona State.

Smith has the speed and quickness that you're looking for in a pass rusher. At 6-foot-2 7/8 and 252 pounds, he posted an impressive 4.59 40-yard dash. The Dolphins are currently reaping the benefits of another speedy pass rusher who was overlooked coming out of college: Cameron Wake. Collins has the competitiveness and size to surprise people at the NFL level. This guy definitely has NFL measurables.

6) Dallas Cowboys
Key signees: Ronald Leary, OG, Memphis; Saalim Hakim, WR, Tarleton State; Charley Hughlett, long snapper, Central Florida.

Leary could immediately start at guard, as the Cowboys continue to transition along the offensive line. There are questions about his longevity due to a nagging knee ailment, but this guy is an absolute house at 6-3, 315 pounds and plays with plenty of power. Saalim Hakim is the younger brother of former NFL wideout Az-Zahir Hakim and he offers a similar game with great speed and unbelievable quickness. He lacks experience at a high level, but this is a guy who makes everyone else on the field look slow.

7) Houston Texans
Key signees: Eddie Pleasant, DB, Oregon; Greg Williams, OLB, Pittsburgh.

Pleasant played safety at Oregon -- a program that places a ton of responsibilities on its safeties -- but his speed and quickness should allow him to convert to corner in the NFL. He could be an immediate contributor on special teams, but would also be ready to fill in for injured players. His competitiveness jumps off game tape.

8) Indianapolis Colts
Key signees: Steven Baker, OT, East Carolina; Hayworth Hicks, OG, Iowa State.

Baker lacks extensive game experience, but his length at 6-8 makes him a very enticing tackle prospect. In fact, Baker was an extremely hot commodity right after the draft, receiving one of the largest undrafted rookie signing bonuses at $15,000. He reminds me a little of Jason Peters, who went undrafted out of Arkansas in 2004. There are probably 100 more proven line prospects coming out of college than Baker, but you don't find too many bodies like this.

9) San Francisco 49ers
Key signees: Joe Holland, LB, Purdue; Michael Thomas, DB, Stanford; Garrett Celek, TE, Michigan State.

Holland exhibited fantastic speed for a linebacker at the Purdue pro day, posting a 4.48 40-yard dash and 6.5 three-cone drill -- which tells you about his exceptional change of direction. He also posted 22 reps on the bench press. As a fabulous all-around athlete, Holland can become an stalwart on special teams in the NFL. Harbaugh knows Thomas well from his time as Stanford's head coach. He played safety with the Cardinal, but could become a corner in the NFL. At Stanford's pro day, Thomas ran a freakishly quick 3.99 short shuttle.

10) Minnesota Vikings
Key signees: Derrick Coleman, RB, UCLA; Tydreke Powell, DT North Carolina; Terrell Resonno, DL, Missouri.

Coleman is extremely hard of hearing, but that didn't stop him from making his mark at UCLA, where he scored 11 rushing touchdowns as a senior. He's big at 230 pounds, but has home run-hitting ability, as evidenced by his 4.56 40 at UCLA's pro day. He's also adept at catching balls out of the backfield. Minnesota is a great place for Coleman, as the Vikings clearly like big backs with Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart. Meanwhile, Powell is yet another defensive line prospect out of North Carolina. The 311-pounder is a force on the interior and could develop into a nice run stopper with inside-pressure capability.

11) Seattle Seahawks
Key signees: Monte Taylor, DE, Cincinnati; Lavasier Tuinei, WR, Oregon; Jermaine Kearse, WR, Washington.

Taylor is a pass-rushing specialist who only played on throwing downs at Cincinnati. He's a very raw talent who could really blossom with NFL coaching due to his natural burst off the edge. This is a high-ceiling project worth investing some time and energy on. Tuinei is a specimen at wide receiver, standing 6-4, 220 pounds and posting a 4.53 40 time. He did not benefit from Oregon's run-based offense/uneven quarterback play -- upside galore for Seattle. With his big body, the Seahawks could make this guy into a third tight end, creating mismatches all over the field. Kearse offers enticing speed that can stretch out a defense.

The St. Louis Rams have signed free agent wide receiver Michael Campbell. Term of the contract weren't disclosed, but I can't think it's more than a "Look-see" signing. Campbell was waived by the New York Jets March 14, 2012.
